Any person under 18 years of age, but not exceeding 25 years and who is a relative of a member of the Maryland Mayflower Society in good standing may apply for Junior Membership. Upon reaching age eighteen, the Junior Member may submit the same lineage for Regular Membership or Life Membership in the Society. A Junior Member may not vote. Download Junior Membership Application. If you have paid the Membership Dues online, please mail in a copy of your receipt along with your application.
Junior Membership Dues – $50 One-time Fee – Annual Junior members are relatives of Maryland members who are themselves descendants of one of the Pilgrim passengers. Annual junior members are members of the Maryland Society but not of the General Society Plymouth. They cannot vote on matters before the membership. The Maryland Historian has the authority to give final approval to their membership applications. There is a one-time fee of $50 to be a junior member. This fee is due at the time the application is submitted to the Historian. A person may be a junior member until the age of 25. A junior member on attaining the age of 18 may submit an application to become a regular member. This is an initial application and the fees set out above for annual members apply as do the dues.
This new membership category recognizes and welcomes individuals who are not eligible for membership in our Society by descent, but nevertheless are bound to us by family ties or shared interests. This new category includes:.
Friends Dues – $50 One-time Fee – Friends are individuals who are not eligible for membership in the Society by descent but nevertheless are bound to us by family ties or shared interests. These persons include spouses of members, persons who are interested in furthering and contributing to the goals of our Society and adopted children of members. Friends of the Society are welcome to participate in the Society’s activities and in its committees, but they cannot vote on matters before the Society. Their applications are submitted by members and approved by the Historian.
